There is nothing better than walking up to the first tee with a piece of new golf gear. That is why I started Light The Candle Tees. We are a small business delivering high quality golf goods straight from my garage.
Without a lot of financial backing, I looked to find what could even be afforded to put up for sale. That is where the tees came to be. Ordering a total of 200 boxes of tees to be put on a website.... and we were off.
Due to the lack of capital, this is where the business model came to be. Drop a limited number of boxes and once those boxes are sold, they are gone.
Through only social media channels, the boxes sold out before even thinking about a second drop.
After two more drops of tees we designed a made from scratch hat. Being tired of the over worn and boring "performance" golf hat we took the old school 5-panel canvas hat and turned it into a great looking golf hat.
Today, we have sold over 700 boxes of tees and roughly 70 golf hats. We still are working through a lot of issues but we have some damn good looking golf gear.
